The flexible staffing model that Foundation Group uses is directly aimed at cost saving by managing our clients labour cost in line with their fluctuating revenue. This is achieved by implementing an effective rostering system which allocates staff shifts in the optimum ratio to revenue. We average the hours of all staff worked and utilise a compressed work week. This reduces overtime to be paid and maximises the staff usage.

Additional cost savings are obtained by correct training to reduce the cost of staff recruitment and replacement as well as reducing the incidence of theft and damage to operating equipment.

In addition, Foundation Group recruits staff from specific geographic regions providing us with critical mass. Therefore, due to economies of scale, a number of costs are shared between clients – most notably administration, payroll, development and training.

As can be seen in the graph your flexible staff costs fluctuate in relation to your revenue.

Probably the most powerful mechanism that we have to ensure value and efficiency is the fact that the Foundation Group has the largest pool of Hospitality staff in the country, this enables us to keep staff employed by moving them to sites that are busy when certain facilities have quieter months and this creates two outcomes.

Disciplining Misconduct Outside the Workplace - Where an employee behaves in an inappropriate manner at a work function or makes himself / herself guilty of misconduct during a work function, it may seem as though no disciplinary action may be taken by an aggrieved employer, as the employee has technically not committed the misconduct "during working hours".
